About the Authors
Dr. Husam Yaghi
Dr. Husam Yaghi is the real-life Dr. Sparks — an innovator, technologist, and educator. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and over three decades of experience building technology and leading international teams. A former university professor and C-level advisor, he believes in empowering young minds to become bold thinkers, ethical builders, and curious explorers.
Tamara Yaghi
Tamara Yaghi is a cognitive scientist at UC Berkeley, specializing in AI and psychology. She is the co-founder of Gaia, a smart health platform for young women in emerging markets, and founder of the Smiles association, which provides educational support and healthcare to refugee children across the Middle East. She brings to this series a firm conviction: the next generation deserves to understand AI, not merely use it.
Together, this father-daughter duo created Scout's AI Adventures so children grow up as leaders of AI — never its followers.
